Thursday night, Officers responded to the intersection of West Pettis Street and North Missouri Avenue for a traffic crash. When Officers arrived, they located the crash just west of the intersection. After investigation, evidence showed that the vehicle travelled through the intersection at a high rate of speed, became airborne, travelling off the roadway and coming to rest several feet later. The driver, a juvenile, was transported to Bothwell Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.


 

Officers responded to the 400 block of North Hurley for an unresponsive subject early Friday morning. When Officers arrived, they located the male and took over CPR. After medics arrived on scene and all life saving measures were used, the male subject was pronounced deceased. An investigation was complete and no foul play was suspected. At the request of the family, the subject was taken to the Rea Funeral Home by Rea's staff.


 

Thursday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of East 3rd Street in reference to a subject check. Contact was made with the suspect, who had two active warrants for Failure to Appear out of Pettis County. One Failure to Appear warrant was on original charges of Filing a False Report and carried a cash only bond of $354.50. The other Failure to Appear warrant was on a Probation Violation for original charges of Driving While Intoxicated. The warrants were confirmed hard copy a short time later. Jeffery S. Sandlin, 42, Homeless, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of East 7th Street in reference to an abandoned bicycle Thursday afternoon. Officers made contact with Mary A. English, who reported that a black mountain bike had been left at the residence. English advised it had been there for over a week. Officers took custody of the bike and placed it into the bike shed as found property.


 

Officers initiated a traffic stop on a blue Honda Fit in the area of East Broadway Boulevard and South Montgomery Avenue for speeding Thursday morning. Officers made contact with the suspect and ran their information through Dispatch. He showed to be suspended out of Tennessee. Stephon L. Fisher, 26, of Kansas City, was issued a UTT for Driving While Suspended and released from the scene.


 

Thursday morning, Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Marshall Avenue in reference to a report of harassment. The caller reported that their landlord was making threats to evict him from the residence and accused him of damaging property in the residence. The incident was determined to be a civil issue. A report was made for documentation purposes.


 

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the 2400 block of East 10th Street in reference to property damage. Erika T. Bom reported that someone had flattened their tires overnight. The value of the damage was estimated at approximately $202.00. No suspects have been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police went to Randall's Auto Collision, 900 Market Street Thursday morning. Officers made contact with Andrew T. Jones, 43, of Sedalia. Officers took him into custody after information was gathered implicating him in a property damage report that was made on Wednesday, December 15th. Officers asked Jones if he wanted to write a statement, and he stated he did not. Officers took Jones into custody and transported him to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released pending charges of Property Damage in 2nd Degree.


 

Officers responded to the Orschelns Farm and Home store, 2424 South Limit Avenue, Wednesday afternoon for a theft report. On arrival, Shawna Forbord reported two three-hundred-gallon stock tanks had been stolen from in front of the store. The theft took place between December 11th and December 13th. The tanks were valued at $299.99 each. At the time of the report, a suspect has not been located.
