Sedalia Police Reports for December 14, 2023

Early Thursday morning, a traffic stop was conducted near the area of Tiger Pride Boulevard and South Limit Avenue. The driver of the vehicle was found to have an active warrant for their arrest. Sheldon R. Johnson III, 43, of Lincoln, was arrested for his warrant for a charge of Driving While Intoxicated from September of 2023. Johnson was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where bond was set at $250 cash only.
Sedalia Police responded to the 1600 block of South Harrison Avenue in reference to a stolen vehicle Thursday afternoon. On arrival, Officers made contact with the owner of the vehicle, who was not named in the report. The vehicle had been left unlocked, with keys still in the vehicle. The owner provided video footage of the incident to Officers. A report has been submitted, and the vehicle was reported as stolen.
On the evening of November 29th, Officers were dispatched to the Jiffy Stop convenience store, 1722 West Broadway Boulevard, for a report of a theft in progress. The suspect fled before Officers arrived. Information and evidence was gathered from the store, and a report was completed.
Thursday afternoon, Officers met with a suspect in the 1600 block of West 18th Street regarding an investigation of unlawful usage of a weapon. After a brief interview, the suspect was arrested. Adrienne J. Logan, 67, of Sedalia, was arrested for Hindering the Prosecution of a Misdemeanor and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Logan was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.
