Sedalia Police Reports for December 13, 2023

Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the 600 block of East 16th Street to investigate a theft. Julia G. Aguirre reported a vehicle had been stolen. Officers gathered information for the report.

Early Wednesday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no head lights on near the area of South Ohio Avenue and West 16th Street. A computer check revealed the driver had a revoked driving status. Samuel Aaron Bartlett, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for a charge of felony Driving While Revoked. Bartlett was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.

Officers conducted a traffic stop Tuesday night in the area of Winchester Drive and West Broadway Boulevard. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the driver had a warrant for their arrest. Amy Mary Brichevaya, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility (No Insurance). Brichevaya was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked, pending a $60 cash only bond.

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 200 block of South State Fair Boulevard Tuesday evening in reference to a disturbance. During the course of the investigation, it was discovered the suspect refused to leave the residence. However, the suspect was violating an order of protection that had been granted in February of 2023 and was still in effect until February of 2024. Carlie Rea Helms, 30, Homeless, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree and Violation of a Full Order of Protection. Helms transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.

Tuesday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to investigate a potential theft report. Mischelle Miller came to the lobby and stated she was charged more for a service than originally agreed upon in the 2900 block of Clinton Road.

Officers were dispatched to a theft report in the lobby of the Police Department Tuesday afternoon. Fredrick L. Pfeiffer stated he was scammed out of $642 by someone claiming to be with Spectrum. The victim believed they were paying a bill with prepaid Visa cards.

Sedalia Police Officers took a general report over the phone Monday morning. Kathryn Tlppie reported a dealer plate had been lost from Wes Mo Auto, 3117 South Limit Avenue.
