Sedalia Police Reports for August 27, 2024

On the evening of August 26th, Sedalia Police investigated a burglary with property damage in the 1600 block of Honeysuckle Road. Shawn Waggoner reported a chainsaw was missing, and a window screen had been damaged.
Monday night, Officers took a report of a stolen firearm from Maurice D. Dean. Dean stated he left his firearm in in the bathroom in the 1900 block of West Main Street. When he returned, it was gone. The firearm is being entered into MULES and NCIC as stolen.
Sedalia Police were dispatched to Mid-City Lumber, 2400 Clinton Road, in reference to a fraudulent use of a credit card device. Kelee Barnes-Barton reported someone had come into the store to pick up materials that were ordered using a stolen credit card. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
While investigating a theft case on the afternoon of July 30th from Brian Snethen. Officers heard allegations of a fraudulent use of a debit device at the American Inn, 1217 South Limit Avenue. An investigation found the allegations to be unfounded.
