Last Thursday evening, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by a subject that was known to have a suspended license. The stop took place near South Montgomery Avenue and East 4th Street. The driver’s identity was confirmed. Roger Wayne Lindsey Sr., 60, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Suspended. Lindsey was transported to the Police Department, issued a UTT, and released.


 

Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle displaying improper registration plates near South New York Avenue and East 11th Street last Thursday evening. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. The driver was transported to the BRHC for a blood draw, and then to the Pettis County Jail. Demetrius Douglas Brown, 47, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs).


 

Late Tuesday night, Officers responded to an apparent burglary in progress in the 500 block of South Lafayette Avenue. Upon arrival, it was determined the incident was not a burglary, but a domestic disturbance. A subject fled back inside the house. Officers forced entry into the house to arrest said subject. Rolando Lopez, 37, of Sedalia, was arrested without incident. Lopez was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked in on charges of Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree and Resisting Arrest. Lopez was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Officers spoke to a subject at the Police Headquarters in reference to found property Tuesday night. They turned in a Missouri driver’s license that was located at the Central Missouri Community Credit Union, 3120 West 10th Street. Officers attempted to return the property to the owner, but were not successful. The item was placed into evidence as found property.


 

Tuesday evening, Officers responded to the area of South Ohio Avenue and East 15th Street in reference to a male subject laying on the side of the road. Officers made contact with the male subject, and he was found to be intoxicated. Craig M. Allen, 53, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12-hour safekeeping hold.

Sedalia Police made contact with a subject that they knew had a warrant on Monday evening at the Papa John’s restaurant, 2915 West Broadway Boulevard. The initial arresting incident occurred in December of 2023. After a series of hearings, the latest Failure to Appear warrant was issued in August of 2024 on original charges of Miscellaneous Alcohol Infractions*. Dwight A. Trester II, 62, Homeless, was arrested for his FTA warrant and transported to the Pettis County Jail pending a $1500 cash or surety bond.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of West 3rd Street for a report of domestic assault. Officers identified the suspect and determined he was the primary aggressor. Pedro Angel Rivera Valentin, 61, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Domestic Assault in the 2nd Degree. Valentin was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Menard’s store, 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, in reference to prior thefts. A suspect had concealed items in their person before leaving. Another suspect came into the store and left after concealing items.


 

Monday morning, Dispatch was contacted by Johnson County in reference to a subject who was possibly en route to Sedalia. That subject was wanted in reference to a domestic assault incident. It was also learned the subject had an active warrant out of Pettis County from 2023 on a charge of Speeding (20 MPH or More). The suspect was located at the Dollar Tree, 3115 West Broadway Boulevard. Toby Holden Parker, 23, of Knob Noster, was arrested for his FTA warrant. Parker was transported to the Pettis County Jail, pending a $156.00 cash only bond.


 

*In the original citation, which is uploaded in Casenet 230514280, the offense is clarified as “Possession in Parks or on City Property”. The citation lists 1500 West 3rd Street as the location of the incident, which is Liberty Park.
