Sedalia Police Reports For August 12, 2021

Wednesday night, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Gentry Avenue in reference to a theft that occurred somewhere between six months and two years ago. The victim believes that the suspect is one of her sisters, because she was bragging to her other sister about the theft. There was no further information in the report.

Sedalia Police performed a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration at the intersection of South Kentucky Avenue and West 11th Street Wednesday night. A consent search of the vehicle revealed a small bag of methamphetamine inside the vehicle. Paris C. Hill, 27, of Hughesville, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail, where she was placed on a 24 hour hold pending the filing of charges for Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

Wednesday morning, Officers responded to the American Inn, 1217 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a possible property damage call. Further investigation revealed that a Molotov Cocktail was thrown in the business parking lot. There were no injuries or property damage reported. There are no suspects at this time.

Sedalia Police responded to the Probation and Parole Office, 205 Thompson Road in reference to a warrant check Wednesday morning. Officers made contact with the suspect. A probation violation warrant out of Pettis County was confirmed for the suspect on original charges of Assault in the 4th Degree, subdivision Special Victims. David B. Borgstadt, 33, of Sedalia, was placed under arrest and transported to the Pettis County Jail. Bond was set at $4,500 - $2,500 surety and $2,000 cash.

On the evening of August 8th, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Prospect for a report of Property Damage. When Officers arrived, they spoke with Amanda J. Brewer. Brewer stated that earlier in the day, her ex-boyfriend came to the residence. Brewer stated he damaged her vehicle and her garage door. The damage appeared to be over $750 in costs. At the time of the report, the suspect could not be located for questioning.
