Sunday night, Officers responded to the 900 block of East Broadway Boulevard for a follow up to a trespassing call earlier in the evening. Dispatch advised the caller was with the subject near the alley on South Montgomery. Gabriel A. Laclair, 42, Homeless, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree.


 

Officers responded to the 1100 block of South Lamine Avenue Sunday evening for a report of found property. Officers spoke with Gary Austin, who stated that he found a counterfeit $100 bill. The bill is for movie prop use only. It was collected and placed into evidence.


 

Early Sunday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of South Engineer Avenue and East Broadway Boulevard. During the investigation, roadside Officers learned the driver’s license was suspended. Tylan Kavir Carter, 20, of Sedalia, was issued a citation for Driving While Suspended. A valid driver was able to operate the vehicle.


 

Sedalia Police were working on a traffic crash site on East Broadway Boulevard Saturday night. The westbound lanes were closed. A vehicle drove around the Officer that was directing traffic and drove toward the accident. The vehicle then crossed into the eastbound lanes, and was stopped by Officers. During the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Christian Waldo Zacarias, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Zacarias was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Zacarias was issued a Uniform Traffic Ticket for Driving While Intoxicated. Zacarias was given a court date and released to a sober driver.


 

On the morning of April 14th, Officers were dispatched to an accident near East 16th Street and South Engineer Avenue. The driver of the suspect vehicle had fled the scene. The driver was located in the 1200 block of East 16th Street. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. In addition, his driving status was revoked, and he did not have insurance. Jesus Ubaldo Quetzecua, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender), Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Accident, Driving While Revoked, and No Proof of Insurance.


 

Saturday morning, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of South Grand Avenue and West 7th Street. Officers had observed the vehicle striking the fog line multiple times. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. Jose M. A. Quetzecua Hernadez, 22, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Quetzecua Hernandez was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Quetzecua Hernandez was then transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.

Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the American Inn, 1217 South Limit Avenue in reference to a disturbance. A computer check of one of the subjects showed he had an active Clay County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of Driving While Revoked. When the warrant was confirmed active, she was placed under arrest. Destiney P. Boggess, 24, of Centerview, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked, pending a $100 cash or surety bond.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a vehicle stop near the intersection of West 16th Street and Devin Road Saturday morning. After a consent search of the vehicle and driver, the driver was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Charlotte E. Vinson, 41, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 24-hour hold.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of East 14th Street Sunday afternoon for a report of theft. Officers contacted the caller, who stated that at some point during the night, someone stole his trash can.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Econolodge, 3501 West Broadway Boulevard Sunday morning for a report of harassment. The victim received threatening messages from the suspect, who was arrested while driving her car a few days ago. The suspect was on scene when Officers arrived. Michael R. Fritchey, 40, of Independence, was arrested for Harassment in the 2nd Degree. Fritchey was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be booked and released.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the National TV Sales and Rental, 1400 South Limit Avenue, Suite #10. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the complainant. He stated that on the morning of April 7th, a suspect entered the business and soon concealed and then left with a Nintendo Switch. The suspect left without paying for the item, valued at $485.00. At this time, the suspect has not been identified.


 

Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for excessive speeding last Tuesday morning. The stop was conducted in the area of US 65 Highway and West Broadway Boulevard. The driver was found to not have a driver’s license. Yader Stibi Salinas, 21, of Sedalia, was arrested, transported to the Sedalia Police Department, fingerprinted, and then released with a summons for municipal charges of Speeding (16-19 MPH Over) and No Operator’s License.


 

Sunday evening, Officers responded to the Missouri State Fairgrounds, 2700 West 16th Street, in reference to a theft. Melissa D. Nordstrom reported her wallet was stolen out of her vehicle, and her debit card was used at a local business. Officers were able to identify possible suspects, but no contact has been made at this time.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop near South Emmet Avenue and East 4th Street on the morning of April 22nd. The stop was conducted because the vehicle had no license plate lights. During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated. While conducting the investigation, the passenger interfered and refused to follow directives as they were being arrested. Atu J. Bard, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested for Failure to Obey/Resisting Arrest. The driver, John Issac Bayless, 20, of Sedalia, was then arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Both Bard and Bayless were transported to the Sedalia Police Department. Bayless provided a breath sample that showed his BAC was above 0.08. Bayless was issued a UTT for Driving While Intoxicated. Bard was issued a UTT for Failure to Obey.


 

Officers responded to the 1700 block of South Lamine Avenue Saturday evening in reference to a report of a wanted subject in the area. Officers contacted the suspect, who had two active Pettis County warrants for his arrest. Jacob Lee Bryan, 28, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on original charges of Animal Abuse/Neglect, and a Parole Violation warrant on original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bryan was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked on the two warrants. Total bond was set at $2,250 cash and $2500 surety.


 

Saturday morning, Officers located a three-ball hitch in the roadway on West Broadway Boulevard near South Grand Avenue. The hitch was picked up and placed into evidence.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1600 block of West 20th Street Saturday morning in reference to a property damage report. Ashley M. Milano stated that sometime in the overnight hours, someone broke a window on their front door.


 

Officers took a fraud report from Courtesy Loans, 3201 West 16th Street, on the morning of April 18th. The complainant stated that three total fraudulent charges were made to the business account in March and April from the same suspect. The total amount stolen was $670.69.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers conducted a subject check near the intersection of West 7th Street and South Missouri Avenue. The subject had several warrants for his arrest. Brandon L. Ulmer, 36, of Sedalia, was arrested for his two Pettis County Failure to Appear warrants on charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana (Prior Drug Offender), his Lafayette County FTA warrant on charges of Speeding (20-25 MPH Over), and two Clay County FTA warrants on original charges of Driving While Revoked and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Ulmer was transported to the Pettis County Jail with no bond.


On the afternoon of April 13th, Daniel Ostapenko entered the lobby of the Police Department to report a theft. Ostapenko stated his vehicle was stolen from the Break Time store, 101 Rebar Road. The vehicle was later located.


 

Saturday morning, Officers responded to the 100 block of West 10th Street in reference to an assault. Officers spoke with John Daniel Muntean, who stated he was assaulted in front of his residence by an unknown individual. The suspect has not been identified at this time.


 

Sedalia Police observed a subject urinating in public with his genitals exposed Saturday night at the Slim Chickens restaurant, 3515 West Broadway Boulevard. The subject, who was not named in the report, was arrested. The subject was issued a municipal court date and released from the Police Department after being booked for Indecent Exposure.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 600 block of East 10th Street Friday afternoon in reference to a possible burglary. Entry was made into the house, and it was cleared without incident.


 

Saturday morning, Officers took a theft report in the lobby of the Police Department. The victim stated her adult son took her EBT card and her Netspend debit card from the 1000 block of West 4th Street, where she receives her Social Security income.
