Sedalia Police Reports For April 13, 2021

Monday afternoon, Officers responded to the Liberty Park, 1500 West 3rd Street, in reference to a found property call. The caller had located a key belonging to a Jeep on a bench in the park approximately thirty minutes before the call. The key was collected and stored in evidence.
Sedalia Police initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle Monday night for not using its turn signal near East Pettis Street and North Moniteau Avenue. A check through Dispatch showed the driver was Driving While Suspended. Keresia Stephen, 44, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Police Department. Stephen was fingerprinted and released with a city summons for Driving While Suspended and Failure to Signal with a court date.
Early Tuesday morning, Officers initiated a traffic stop on a motor vehicle for failing to signal near North Engineer and East Saline Street. A check through Dispatch showed the driver's status was suspended. Aja Biles, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested, transported to the Police Department, and released with a city ticket for Driving While Suspended with a court date.
Monday night, an Officer was at the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to another case when an employee from Asset Protection recognized a subject in the store who was trespassed. The Officer made contact with the subject, who identified himself, and confirmed that he was trespassed. The subject's information was given to Dispatch and it was confirmed the subject had two warrants out of Pettis County for felony Driving While Revoked and felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Aaron W. Argenbright, 40, of Sedalia, was arrested. During a search incident to arrest, several syringes, a pack of rolling papers, a small baggie of marijuana and a small baggie of methamphetamine were located on Argenbright's person. Argenbright was transported to the Pettis County Jail with a bond of $75,000 cash or surety. Argenbright was held on a 24 hour hold pending charges of Possession of a Dangerous Drug, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
Officers were dispatched to a traffic complaint of a gray Chevrolet passenger vehicle travelling southbound from the northern city limits Monday night. The caller reported that the vehicle was swerving all over the road. While in route, the vehicle in question was involved in a motor vehicle accident with another vehicle in the 200 block of South Ohio Avenue. Cory J. Draper, 31, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (Persistent Offender), Driving While Revoked, and Improper Lane Usage. Draper was transported to the Pettis County Jail. Neither party involved in the accident reported any injuries.
Sedalia Police investigated a report of theft Monday morning at the Break Time store, 318 West Broadway Boulevard. It was discovered by the Police Department that the suspect was a juvenile. The juvenile was located and some of the items stolen were recovered. The parent of the juvenile was also notified of the incident. The case is being forwarded to the Pettis County Juvenile Office.
Monday afternoon, Officers spoke with John S. Foote Sr. at the Police Headquarters in reference to a theft. Foote stated that a license plate was missing from his trailer, which was parked in the 400 block of South New York Street. Foote was unsure if the license plate came off while driving, or if it was stolen. The plate was entered into MULES as lost or stolen.
Monday afternoon, Travis Walker brought found property to Police Headquarters. Walker stated he located a wallet on South Stewart between West 16th Street and West 17th Street. The wallet was placed into evidence.
