
Sedalia Police Reports For April 12, 2023

Tuesday morning, Officers took a report of stolen license plates in the 1600 block of West 16th Street. Omer Greer stated he had noticed both license plates missing from his van that morning. A report was generated and the license plates will be entered into MULES as stolen.
Officers spoke with a subject in the lobby of the Police Department regarding identity theft Monday afternoon. Billy Turner reported someone stole his identity and had used it to gain benefits from the state of Missouri that he never received nor applied for to begin with. No suspects have been identified at this time.

Tuesday morning, Officers responded to the Heckart Community Center, 1800 West 3rd Street, in reference to found property. The property was placed into evidence for safekeeping.
Sedalia Police responded to the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue Tuesday night for a report of trespassing. When Officers arrived, contact was made with the suspect and the caller. The caller stated that the suspect was trespassed from the property prior and she would like to press charges. Roger Wayne Lindsey Jr., 37, was arrested for Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Lindsey was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was refused by jail staff due to intoxication by narcotics. After seeking medical treatment, Lindsey was taken back to the PCJ. Lindsey was then placed on a 24-hour hold.
