Monday night, Officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of East 7th Street for a report of property damage. Sheryl A. Philliber reported a window had been broken out. A report was completed.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to signal Monday night. After stopping the vehicle in the area of West 3rd Street and South Vermont Avenue, the driver consented to a search of his person. While searching his person, Officers located a crystallized substance. The substance tested positive for Methamphetamine. Dale Lee Turley, 54, of Sedalia, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

On the night of March 5th, Officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West 5th Street for a report of property damage. After an investigation, state charges of Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree were requested on both parties involved. An additional charge of Property Damage in the 2nd Degree is being sought on one of the parties, neither of whom were named in the report.

Officers were dispatched to the 1200 block of East 20th Street Monday night, as a domestic violence issue was reported. A primary aggressor was determined. Kurtis Steven Jones, 33, of Sedalia, was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. The victim received minor injuries, but refused medical treatment.


 

Last Thursday evening, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, to take a report of stealing. When Officers arrived, they spoke to the victim. He informed Officers that just before the call, someone stole $100 from the self-checkout machine while he was distracted. A female suspect was identified, but not located.


 

Sedalia Police took a report in the lobby of the Police Department from Dray Perry in regards to a violation of a protection order Monday morning. A suspect has been identified, and charges of Violation of a Protection Order will be submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Thursday evening, Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room, 601 East 14th Street, for a found property report. Todd Nappe, an employee of the business, found a wallet outside the hospital. The item was collected and later placed into evidence as found property.


 

Sedalia Police responded to the area of West Main Street and South State Fair Boulevard last Sunday evening for a report of a domestic disturbance. It was determined that a male assaulted a female. Shortly after, the female, who was intoxicated and had an unrestrained three-year-old child in the back seat, attempted to run over the male with her vehicle. William V. Delee, 42, of an unknown address, was arrested for felony Domestic Assault in the 3rd Degree. Delee was placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail. Ashley N. Meyrose, 39, of Sedalia, was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated, felony Domestic Assault in the 1st Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 1st Degree, Abuse or Neglect of a Child, and Operating a Motor Vehicle on the Highway Without a Valid License. Meyrose was also placed on a 24 hour hold at the Pettis County Jail.


 

On the morning of March 8th, Sedalia Police and Sedalia Fire were called to an active fire at the KO Storage, 2410 West Main Street. The fire was deemed suspicious in nature. After investigation, it was found the fire was caused by a heater with a known issue that the Fire Department had previously warned the suspect about. The heater had been left alone in the unit, resulting in the fire. Charges of Negligent Burning are being requested on the suspect, who was not named in the report.
