Sedalia Man Faces Multiple Charges in Shooting Incident
On Wednesday night around 7:20 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 900 Westwood Avenue for a wanted subject who was spotted in the area.
According to the heavily redacted Probable Cause statement, Officers made contact with a caller over the phone, who stated they were at a hospital for unrelated injuries. The witness caller stated Jordan had been harassing her son and her father.
She stated earlier Jordan followed her family to a store, starting fights. While on the phone, the victim in the current case approached the Officer.
The victim stated he was getting ready to leave the apartment complex (addresses were redacted), when Jordan grabbed a pole during an argument and hit the driver’s side of the truck with it, causing damage. The truck did not stop and began to leave the area. Jordan then entered a vehicle and began following the victim. The victim was not a resident of Sedalia, and was not sure exactly where he was. He stated he was a “couple blocks south of Broadway.”
As he was driving, the area was later identified as West 10th Street and South Carr Avenue. Jordan fired two to three shots from a firearm while driving the vehicle. The truck was not struck, but the projectiles did hit a residence.
Jordan quit following shortly thereafter.
The residence struck was occupied by two adults and one juvenile. Two bullets struck the house, one in the front that went through a wall, with another entered the living room, striking a book case. The bullet was located under a book.
No one inside the residence was injured. The report notes Jordan is a multi-state felon, and is a flight risk. Jordan was issued no bond.

30-year-old Jubyris Martez Jordan was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail. He now faces charges of three counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon, 1st Degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, two counts of 2nd Degree Property Damage, 1st Degree Assault, seven counts of Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm (Blair’s Law), and Unlawful Possession of a Concealable Weapon.
