The Sedalia Area Farmers' Market has become a tradition in our area.  We're surrounded by people and places that thrive in agricultural subjects, and our local growers are some of the best. If you want the best in fresh, local food and produce, you can't beat the Farmers' Market.

For people like me, it's even easier! Debit cards and EBT (food stamps) are now accepted! Now lack of cash is no longer an obstacle to fresh, local, healthy food (I can't remember the last time I had more than a quarter on me). Just bring your card to the market booth and they'll give you wooden tokens to spend at all of our vendors.

Today. I had two of the members of the Sedalia Area Farmers' Market board in to tell us about the different options you have to get fresh food for your family. Brenda Raetz and Beverly Rollings came in and told us some information you might not know about the SAFM.

You can stop by the Sedalia Farmers' Market on the Missouri State Fairgrounds on Tuesdays from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Fridays from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Don’t forget to visit their website, find them on Facebook, or give Brenda a call at 281-7244 or Beverly at 620-6841. If you want more information on how to be a vendor, how to help match the EBT donations or even if you just want to know what you can get at the market, check it out.

Freshly yours,
Behka
