On Sunday, Nov. 18, Sedalia Police received a report of someone stealing packages off a front porch.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the suspect(s) stole packages from other residents as well.

On Wednesday, investigators from the Latent Investigations Unit and Crime Resolutions Unit executed a search warrant at 1011 South Harrison.

During the search, several packages were located still in their original boxes and labels that are believed to have been stolen, as well as drug paraphernalia and gun accessories, including magazines and ammunition.

Two people were arrested in the case:

Jessica Collins – probation violation warrant with no bond, felon in possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia

Dustin Galloway – failure to appear warrant

During execution of the search warrant, police encountered a dog, which had previously declared to be vicious and therefore been banned from the City Limits. The dog was turned over to Animal Services.

Additional investigators seized property from the residence that is believed to have been stolen, but not yet reported.
