Saline County Emergency Agency Director Emmit Williams died in a motorcycle accident on Labor Day, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Williams, 73, of Marshall, was involved in the two-vehicle accident that occurred just before 11 a.m. on Labor Day (Sept. 5) in Howard County on Missouri 87, one-quarter mile south of Route J ,the report said.
Williams was the driver of a northbound 2007 Triumph Rocket 3 motorcycle when he apparently lost control and crossed the center line into the path of a southbound 2002 Nissan Frontier driven by 16-year-old Colton W. Williams was pronounced dead at the scene by Howard County Coroner Frank Flashpohler at 11:11 a.m.
