The Sacred Heart Junior High girls played in the Kaysinger Conference this past weekend in Green Ridge.

They lost both matches in the conference. Ultimately, Smithton took first in the Junior High Volleyball Kaysinger Conference.

Friday night the girls played Windsor. They played a three set match. They won the first match 26-24, and lost the second two sets: second set, 9-25; and, third set, 10-15.

Saturday morning the girls took on the Cole Camp Bluebirds and played a three set match. They lost the first set, 18-25, and won the second set, 25-23. They ultimately lost the third set 9-15.

“There was a mix of excitement and tears this weekend, but the girls came off the court with their heads held high. Despite the losses, I could not be more proud of the hard work and improvement that I have seen this season,” commented head coach Madalyn Kilby.
