Pettis County Sheriff’s Reports for August 30, 2021
This is a compilation of reports released by the Pettis County Sheriff's Office:
On Thursday, Pettis County Deputies arrested Bruce Dixon in the 3000 block of Brooking Park Avenue, who was wanted on an active warrant.
On Thursday, Pettis County Deputies took a fraud report at the Sheriff's Office for an individual who was defrauded by an investment company.
On Aug. 25 around 6 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to the 600 block of McVey Road for a disturbance in progress. After making contact with all parties involved, two female juveniles were arrested for assault and possession of less than 10 grams of marijuana, then released to family members. A juvenile referral for both of them was turned over to the Pettis County Juvenile office for review.
On Aug. 25, Pettis County Deputies took a report involving stalking that allegedly occurred in the 2800 block of Monsess Drive. The victim declined to press charges. A report was made to document the incident.
On Aug. 25, the Pettis County K9 Unit made a traffic stop at Highway 65 and Route V. A computer check revealed that the driver, Eric A. Pohl, and his passenger, April D. Geiler, were wanted on Sedalia and Pettis County warrants. While Pohl was being arrested, a small baggie containing a crystal substance was found on his person. Pohl was placed on a 24-hour hold, pending charges for possession of a controlled substance.
On Aug. 24, Petis County Deputies took a report involving fraudulent transactions on a debit card in the 1600 block of McVey Road.
On Aug. 23 around 8:42 p.m., Pettis County Deputies responded to an address on Tanglenook Run for a possible drowning victim. After all life-saving measures were attempted, the male victim was pronounced deceased by Pettis County Robert “Skip” Smith.
