Pettis County Commission Announces Opening of Pleasant View Road Bridge
On Thursday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m., the Pettis County Commission and representatives from OWN Engineering and Cale Seymour Construction conducted the final inspection for Bridge #2830012 on Pleasant View Road.
After the inspection of the bridge was complete, it was determined the project was substantially finalized and the road was ordered to be opened to traffic effective immediately.
“Always a pleasure to complete one more farm to market road,” said Western Commissioner Jim Marcum. “It's good for our local people to have safer ways to get around where they live. I’m proud to say that we have done at least one bridge per year for the last 12 years in the Western District of Pettis County.”
No local dollars were used on the $294,763.90 project, as it was financed entirely through American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
Eastern Commissioner Israel Baeza concluded by saying, “This bridge is important in our upkeeping of the County infrastructure, as it is vital to our future growth and development.”
