One Dead in 16th & Limit Collision

Sedalia Police, Sedalia Fire and PCAD responded to a motor vehicle accident that occurred at 16th and Limit at 8:35 p.m. Saturday.

Investigation revealed that a northbound Jeep collided with a Hyundai that was stopped in the inside lane of northbound Limit near 16th.

The impact caused the Hyundai to travel forward, striking a northbound Dodge.

After the initial impact, the Jeep traveled in reverse before leaving the west side of the roadway and colliding with the “Welcome to the Missouri State Fair” display and coming to rest.

The driver of the Jeep died at the scene, according to the report.

The crash is under investigation and anyone who witnessed the crash is encouraged to contact the Sedalia Police Department's Traffic Unit.
