Need A Little Motivation? Call And Ask A Kindergartener! Trust Me
Have you ever needed a little motivation in your life? Perhaps you are dealing with things that put a lot of stress in your life. Dealing with family issues, politics, world events, job performance or whatever causes you to, on occasion, just feel a little bit sad or uneasy.
Might I suggest calling a kindergartener? No, I am totally serious. It may be the motivation that you need. Allow me to explain.
Dial 707-873-7862 and you’ll hear a cheerful voice listing your options: “If you’re feeling mad, frustrated or nervous, press one. If you need words of encouragement and life advice, press two. If you need a pep talk from kindergarteners, press three. If you need to hear kids laughing with delight, press four.”
This project was envisioned by Jessica Martin and Asherah Weiss, who teach art at West Side Union elementary school in Healdsburg California. The picture above was a screen shot from a Facebook friend of mine, so I decided to do some research and I got the story. This project was put together by the kids and the teachers.
They went to each classroom in the small school, whose 141 students range in age from kindergarten to sixth grade. They gave the kids a simple prompt. “We said: ‘It’s been a very rough few years. You kids are incredibly resilient. And you found all kinds of ways to stay joyful.
If you call that automated number, and follow the prompts you can get some encouraging words from some young kids that will certainly put a smile on your face. It may be the boost you need to get through a tough day or time. I did call the number. It is legit, and it did make me smile. You can get more information on this story by clicking HERE.
