Lucky for me, I have a job! And so far so good, I haven't managed to mess it up and get fired yet.  But if you're not so lucky or you're looking for something new, here are a few places I saw that are hiring here in good ol' Sedville.

1. Wilson Toellner.

They're hiring for a CPA. You have to CPA license or a clear plan for obtaining CPA license, desire and ability to work with clients and team members, and a strong understanding of accounting procedures and principles. Apply here.

2. Sedalia Public Library.

They're hiring for a clerk. They guarantee at least 9.5 hours a week, but that might change to add more with time. You need to have some good computer and customer service skills. Stop by and fill out an application at 311 West Third. Note: their flyer says the deadline is May 25, but the listing is still up online, so they might still be taking applications. I figured it couldn't hurt to mention it.

3. Center For Human Services.

They're looking for a Benefits Specialist. It's a full time gig, 40 hours weekly. You need to havea BA or BS in accounting or business administration, or any other related field. You can apply on their site for that job and a few others here.

4. New Haven For Girls.

They're looking for a direct care staff to work with teenage girls in a group home setting. You have to be 21 and have a high school diploma or GED, and willing to get a Class E/Chauffeur's license. It's part time for right now, and you can find out more by calling 827-9939.

5. Pettis County Sheriff's Department.

The PCSD is looking for a Corrections Officer. You have to be 18 with a high school diploma or GED and have a driver's license issued by the State of Missouri. You'll go through a jail training course and job training. You can stop by and get an application at 319 South Lamine. Call for some more information at 827-0052.

6. General Cable.

The job is for a production operator. Starting pay is $16.10 an hour, and it's a rotating 12 hour shift which goes from the day shift to the night shift at two week intervals. You also have to work every other weekend. You have to have a high school diploma or GED, and pass a background and drug test. You can apply here.

7. State Fair Community College.

They're actually hiring for a few different positions, but here's one for you: Box Office Administrative Assistant. it's a full time gig that has you as the front receptionist for the Stuaffacher Theater Box Office. You'll lbe taking reservations, answering the phones, making appointments, answering emails, that kind of thing. You can apply online for that job or some of the others here.

8. WCA Management Company.

WCA is looking for a Dispatch/Scale Clerk Operator. You have to have a high school diploma or a GED and some experience in a similar role. It's a full time job that's Monday through Friday from 5:15 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. You can apply online here.

9. Academy of Salon Professionals.

If you love sales, this one is for you. You'll be making appointments, suggesting services and offering retail sales to the clients. You'll have to learn about the different services they offer so you can suggest what's right for their guests. 10. Bothwell Regional Health Center.

They've got a few positions open, but this one might be good for a kid working through the summer. They're looking for an Environmental Services Worker that will work part time, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. every other weekend. The job means you'll be cleaning surgery and out/inpatient areas, all public areas and offices, removing waste, maintaining the floors, that kind of thing.
