‘Nashville’ Cast Reflect on Final Episodes: ‘There’ll Be Magic in the Very End’ [Watch]
Nashville will launch into its final run of episodes before the series ends when the show returns from mid-season hiatus, and in a new trailer, the longtime stars of the show reflect on just what it is that makes Nashville so special.
"There's a magic in Nashville, and there always has been," series star Charles Esten, who plays singer-songwriter Deacon Claybourne, says in the clip above, which the show shared on Instagram. In an exclusive trailer shared with TV Line, others of the series' stars share their observations about the show and its impact, including Hayden Panettiere, Claire Bowen, Sam Palladio, Jonathan Jackson, Chris Carmack and Lennon and Maisy Stella.
The characters have all grown and changed over the show's six seasons, but “there’s been a lot of love there, and a lot of respect," Panettiere observes, calling the core of Nashville "very human stories."
"There was a magic in the very beginning" of the show, Esten says. "There'll be magic in the very end."
Tribute to This 'Nashville' Star Is A-Maze-ing!
Nashville left many of its main characters hanging mid-story when it broke for hiatus, and a trailer the show released for the upcoming final episodes looks like things are ramping up toward big storylines for Juliette and Avery, Gunnar, Deacon, Scarlett and Daphne before the series finale.
Production for the show will wrap in April, with the final string of episodes set to launch June 7 on CMT. Esten says he knows how he wants the show to end.
"I picture somebody [new] pulling up in the final shot," he tells USA Today. "Somebody's coming to town the minute somebody's leaving. That's how it is [in Nashville], and that's the beauty of it."
