Mural Artist Reception Planned for September 2

Downtown Sedalia has a new mural on the north wall of Home Heating and Air Conditioning at 101 East Main Street.

"This location is towards the northern portion of the district –- perfect for welcoming those traveling by bicycle, automobile or rail to our town," according to a City of Sedalia press release issued on Monday morning.

Make plans to drop by on Friday, Sept. 2 between 5 and 7 p.m. at the historic Lamy’s Building at 108 West Pacific.

"You will be able to visit with artist Kelsey Raines and check out some of her other fabulous works of art," the City said.

Raines is an elementary art teacher at Sedalia School District 200.

While there, you may enjoy dinner on the patio of the No. 5 Bistro & Bar where you can view the "Let’s Cross Paths" mural just a half block south of their outdoor dining area.
