Morgan County deputies, in addition to a K-9 unit and the MSHP Aircraft Division, were conducting an intensive search for a man accused of shooting his neighbor in the face.

The incident occurred around 6 a.m. Friday morning on Bear Claw Road, off Ivy Bend Road in Morgan County.

According to the sheriff's office, 50-year-old Revious L.Hamilton, Jr., who lives across the road from the victim, began verbally assaulting the victim, eventually firing several rounds from a handgun at the victim, striking him in the face. The victim was transported to a Jefferson City hospital in stable condition.

Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim, and Hamilton was named as the suspect. Hamilton reportedly left the area on foot after the shooting, taking the handgun with him.

At that point, a ground search began that included deputies and a K-9 unit, which checked several unoccupied structures in the area.

In addition, an air search commenced that included aircraft from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

As of 10 p.m. Friday night, Hamilton had not yet been located.

The Morgan County Prosecutor's Office has filed charges against Hamilton, including 1st degree assault, armed criminal action, unlawful use of a weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Hamilton is considered armed and dangerous.
