Missouri Has 1 of the Top 8 Worst Cellular Dead Zones in America
Hello? Wait. No signal. Bummer. I must be in the part of Missouri that has just been declared as one of the top 8 worst cellular dead zones in America.
It wasn't that long ago that PC Magazine decided to do some traveling to measure where the biggest areas are in America where calls are almost always dropped. It's the dreaded cellular dead zones and it turns out that one of the greatest villains they found was in Missouri.
In their list, you'll see a bunch of California places and a couple out east, but one Missouri place gets the unwanted shoutout.
So where are you almost guaranteed to drop a call in Missouri?
Answer - Grants Farm
What's interesting is the testers didn't find they had no signal as much at Grant's Farm, but network timeouts which could mean the networks were too busy or the towers weren't configured right. At the end of the day, it doesn't matter why. It just matters that you can't get reliable cell phone service if you're gonna check out Grant's Farm.
For some, that's not a problem. Going to Grant's Farm and getting away from nagging texts and calls can be a good thing. But, if you're planning to go there while needing to stay in touch with work or friends, better make sure there's a well-rested carrier pigeon around willing to let you tie a note to its leg.
It's been a few months since this test was done, so perhaps someone has the cell towers set up better near Grant's Farm. If not, that's bad news for the Clydesdales.
