Every season, a few minor league baseball teams design special uniforms that catch the attention of the sports world. Last year, the El Paso Chihuahuas stole the show with their special "Bark in the Park" jerseys, that ESPN's Keith Olbermann wore on his television show.

This year, the Altoona Curve will have a big promo night planned for July 5. The Double-A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates will host "A Night in the Neighborhood," featuring an appearance by Daniel Tiger, a popular children's cartoon character based on the work of Fred Rogers. The team will be wearing special themed jerseys that are in the likeness of one of Mister Rogers' red cardigan sweaters.

In addition, the first 500 kids into the park that night will receive a children's book. The Curve teamed up with WPSU, the PBS station at Penn State University and also The Fred Rogers Company for the special promo. A sweater drive to benefit the American Rescue Workers is also planned that night. All of Fred Rogers' original sweaters were knitted by his mother. July 5 in Altoona, Pennsylvania will be a beautiful day in the neighborhood!
