Senior Chase McMullin and junior Everett Wood received multiple honors during the Smith-Cotton High football program’s awards night presentation.

McMullin received the Ralph “Stub” Dow Award as the team’s best back and was selected by the coaches as the Offensive Player of the Year.

Wood was the Defensive Player of the Year and joined McMullin on the KMZU Dream Team. Senior Dillan Kessing earned the Mark Johnson Academic Achievement Scholarship and the William “Bill” Noland Football Scholarship.

Joe Rodriguez won the Charles Van Dyne Award as the team’s top lineman and received the Caleb Stathem Memorial Scholarship, awarded by the family of a former S-C football player who died from injuries in a car wreck.

The team had 36 players earn varsity letters and 16 achieve Tiger Scholars designation for having a grade-point average of at least 3.0.
