There may not have been a lot of snow or ice so far in November or December, but some could be coming this Thursday (Dec. 4).Sedalia/Pettis County EMA Director David Clippert sent out an advisement based on the forecast models for Thursday.

Update: Wed. Dec. 3

They have increased our chances of having some very light freezing drizzle Thursday morning to about 40%. If this happens it will most likely start around 2 am and could continue to around 9 am. Our low overnight is expected to be around 28 with a warm up to the low 40’s Thursday afternoon. Main thing to remember is that even a very light icing can make driving very hazardous. Be prepared and slow down!

It could be enough though to make driving very hazardous. Please use caution when driving especially on bridges or overpasses.

Earlier this week there was some light condensation in the Lake of the Ozarks area and St. Louis area that did cause some accidents. Be extra careful on the roads when winter weather strikes. AAA has put out some winter weather driving tips.
