Lady Antebellum performed the National Anthem prior to the start of the Nashville Predators vs. St. Louis Blues Stanley Cup Playoffs game at Bridgestone Arena on Sunday afternoon (May 7). Readers can press play above to watch.
All dressed in Predators jerseys, Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood and Hillary Scott harmonized throughout their "The Star-Spangled Banner" performance. Kelley took lead, for the most part, though Scott had a few lines of her own as well. The crowd roared as the country trio concluded the song.
Lady Antebellum have a new album, Heart Break, set for release on June 9. They will kick off their You Look Good World Tour on May 26 in Bakersfield, Calif., with Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young serving as their opening acts; a list of all of their upcoming shows is available on their website.
The Nashville Predators’ National Anthem singers during the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs have, thus far, all been country stars: Carrie Underwood and Luke Bryan sang the Anthem during the Preds’ two home Round 1 playoff games, while Little Big Town performed “The Star-Spangled Banner” during the team’s first Round 2 home game on April 30, and Vince Gill and his daughters Jenny and Corinna did so before the second one on Tuesday (May 2).
Prior to Game 6, the Predators were leading the Blues 3-2 in their series. If the Predators win Game 6, they will advance to the Stanley Cup Playoffs' third round; if they lose, the two teams will head back to St. Louis for Game 7 of the series -- the series' deciding game -- on Tuesday (May 9). The Nashville Predators defeated the Chicago Blackhawks four games to none during their first Stanley Cup Playoffs series to advance to Round 2.
