Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and Kane Brown will play free shows in New York City this summer, as part of Good Morning America's Summer Concert Series, which will kick off on May 15. Lady A will be the first country act to appear for the series, on July 26, with Urban following on Aug. 9 and Brown (who will be joined by EDM artist Marshmello) on Aug. 30. The shows, which will take place from 7AM to 9AM ET on their respective dates, will be held in Central Park, and are free to the public.
Despite retiring from the touring life, George Strait has announced two new shows -- in Kansas City and Wichita, Kan. -- for 2020. Strait is set to play the Intrust Bank Arena in Wichita on Jan. 24, then will head to Kansas City on Jan. 25 for a show at the Sprint Center. Tickets for both shows are on sale on May 17.
The Allman Betts Band will release their debut album on June 28 via BMG. Titled Down to the River, the album from guitarist Devon Allman (son of the late Gregg Allman) and Duane Betts (son of Dickey Betts) will include nine new tracks and feature performances from Allman Brothers Band legends including organist Peter Levin and Chuck Leavell on keys. The band is already touring in support of the project, with around 200 shows on the calendar.
