Knob Noster Hires New City Administrator
On behalf of the City of Knob Noster and the Board of Alderman, Mayor Adam C. Morton announced Scott Peterson as the latest hire to the City's leadership team. Peterson will serve as City Administrator.
According to Mayor Morton's Facebook Page, Peterson has worked in the public sector for eight years. Most recently he served the City of Edgerton, Kansas as Assistant City Administrator. There he managed the Administration, Utility, And Parks & Recreation departments. Additionally, in this position he gained much experience overseeing Edgerton's daily operations.
Prior to working in Edgerton, Peterson oversaw all planning and zoning duties in the Community Development Department for the City of Raytown. In this position he served as the liaison between the City's staff and both the Planning & Zoning Commission and the Board of Zoning Adjustment.
Mayor Morton wrote on his Facebook announcement, "Each of your Aldermen & I are confident that Scott’s public sector experience, coupled with his passion for it, will help our community to continue to grow & reach for new heights."
Scott holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Kansas State, and a Master's in Public Administration from the University of Kansas.
