We here at the station are getting super psyched for this big Great Outdoors Family Fun Day we're having this weekend at the Sedalia Rod and Gun Club.  We're gonna be out there broadcasting live, and so I took a second to look a little deeper into one group that'll be out there with us.

The Kansas City Retriever Club is a group that works with wildlife conservation.  They work with all the different kinds of retrievers, everything from Golden Retrievers to Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, Flat Coat Retrievers and Curly Coat Retrievers.  I personally didn't even know there was more than Golden and Black retrievers, so already I've learned something today.  They work very well with their animals to train them properly and the agility of some of these dogs is just amazing.

It's always interesting to me to see how people and animals can communicate in a way that goes beyond pet and master - and this group definitely is a great example of that.  They're going to be doing some demonstrations with some of their dogs and will also be on hand to answer questions.  I'm sure once I see them in action, I'll have all sorts of things I want to know.

And that's just ONE group that'll be out there.  We're going to have so much fun, I really hope you make it out there on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and join us.   It's fun, it's outside, and the best part - it's free!

If you wanna get to know the group better, check them out at their webpage: kcrc.net, or, you can also find them on Facebook.

Retrievily yours,

Behka
