Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina Release ‘What Ifs’ Music Video
Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina's music video for their powerful duet "What Ifs" picks up where its recently released lyric video left off. Readers can press play above to watch.
Set on the rocky California coast, the "What Ifs" music video begins with Brown walking into the woods; it's the continuation of the "What Ifs" lyric video's closing scene (that clip ended with a "to be continued ...," after all). Shortly thereafter, Alaina arrives in the forest, wearing a Renaissance-esque gown. The two artists (and former middle-school companions) meet on the rocky coastline and ponder the risks and rewards of love; together, Brown and Alaina perform the swelling, romantic anthem as waves crash against the cliffs under their feet.
Alaina and Brown's "What Ifs" video was directed by PR Brown and filmed at the scenic Newport Ranch in Fort Bragg, Calif. The pop-influenced song is the third single from Brown's uber-successful self-titled debut album on RCA Nashville; it follows “Ain’t No Stopping Us Now,” released in June of 2016, and “Thunder in the Rain,” released in August of 2016. "What Ifs" was written by by Brown, Matthew McGinn and Jordan Schmidt.
Both Brown and Alaina will be performing during the 2017 CMA Music Festival in Nashville in June. Alaina recently earned her first No. 1 song.
