Sedalia Police Reports For October 4, 2023

Monday morning, Officers responded to the 400 block of East 7th Street for a report of a domestic disturbance. According to the probable cause statement, the victim stated the suspect had entered the home without permission through a window. After a confrontation, the victim stated the suspect took her phone and threatened to kill her son and her mother if she called the Police. After an investigation, one intoxicated male suspect was arrested. Michael Dale Rohr, 48, of Smithton, was booked in at the Pettis County Jail on charges of Burglary in the 1st Degree, Tampering with a Witness in a Felony Prosecution, and Domestic Assault in the 4th Degree. Rohr was placed on a 24-hour hold. Rohr was later given a bond of $25,000 cash or surety on the Burglary charge, and a $15,000 cash or surety bond on the Tampering and Assault charges.
Sedalia Police responded to the area of West Main Street and Metallic Avenue Sunday morning for a report of a motor vehicle accident. The accident involved a pedestrian. Upon arrival, Officers identified one male subject, who was found to be in possession of a firearm. However, he is a currently convicted felon, and as such cannot legally be in possession of said firearm. The firearm was seized, and charges are being requested through the Pettis County Prosecutor’s Office. There was no mention of the name of the subject or which specific charges were filed in the incident report.
Officers met with a victim in the lobby of the Police Department Tuesday morning in reference to a hit and run accident. The victim, who was not named in the report, stated his vehicle was struck while parked in the Cenex gas station parking lot, 3415 East Broadway Boulevard. The accident happened sometime over the weekend. Officers observed minor damage to the rear passenger quarter panel of the vehicle.
Sedalia Police responded to the Compass Health Network, 1700 West Main Street, for a report of drug activity Monday afternoon. Officers then met with a witness on site. According to the probable cause statement, the witness saw the male subject had dropped a brown bag, which was then picked up by a toddler. When confronted, the suspect took the bag and ran from the location into a nearby tree line. Officers checked the area and located the suspect shortly afterwards near the VFW on West Main Street. The brown bag was found, and discovered to contain two yellow bags of methamphetamine. Darrin Allen Pullen, 41, of La Monte, was arrested on charges of felony Possession of a Controlled Substance*, Endangering the Welfare of a Child in the 2nd Degree, felony Tampering with Physical Evidence, and felony Resisting Arrest. Bond was set the next day at $10,000 cash or surety.
Tuesday evening, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of South Quincy Avenue in reference to a disturbance. A male was reported to be walking around with a large knife, knocking on the doors of residents in the area. Officers arrived and contacted the suspect. A large machete was recovered outside of the building, which was consistent with victim statements. Marcus Mantrell McKnight, 35, of Sedalia, was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail. McKnight was booked in on a charge of Harassment in the 1st Degree and placed on a 24-hour hold.
On the afternoon of September 24th, Officers began investigating a case of harassment. The incident took place at the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street. According to Donna Bell, while working as a nurse at the hospital, a patient made verbal threats against her. Officers are requesting charges against the subject for Harassment.
*The charge is considered a felony not for the amount of methamphetamine discovered, but because Pullen had been previously convicted on felony charges of trafficking drugs in 2022.
