Sunday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft report. Officers apprehended a suspect caught stealing from the business. Christina Marie Karman, 45, of Sedalia, was arrested on a charge of Stealing.


 

On the afternoon of May 10th, Jose Cuellar came to the lobby of the Police Department. Cuellar reported his identity had been stolen in the 300 block of West 5th Street.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the 1000 block of South Vermont Avenue Sunday afternoon to investigate an attempted vehicle theft.


 

Sunday evening*, Officers responded to the 700 block of East 4th Street in reference to a report of property damage. On arrival, Officers made contact with the reporting party, who stated that at some point during the day, their vehicle window was shattered. Officers collected the information and generated a report.


 

Saturday night, Officers responded to the 300 block of East 4th Street in reference to a report of property damage. Officers met with Mariah D. Esser, who stated rocks were thrown through her window, causing damage. There were two juveniles located near where the rocks were thrown. A possible suspect has been identified, but no contact has been made at this time.


 

Officers responded to the 1900 block of West 10th Street in reference to a report of harassment Sunday night. Officers made contact with the victim, who stated they were being blackmailed. At this time, the investigation is still ongoing, and the suspect has not been identified.

Sunday morning, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard in reference to a theft report. The suspect concealed items in the store and left prior to law enforcement’s arrival.


 

Sedalia Police took a theft report that occurred in the 300 block of West 5th Street Sunday morning. Stephan Capkovic stated someone had gone through his unlocked car in the over night hours and stole about $500 wroth of items. There are no suspects at this time.


 

Saturday night, Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center Emergency Room, 601 East 14th Street, in reference to a dog bite. Officers collected information from Patricia Elaine Carlock, who stated the bite took place in the 1000 block of West 7th Street. A report was generated.


 

Saturday afternoon, Officers took a report of theft. The theft happened at the Jiffy Stop, 1722 West Broadway Boulevard, on May 12th. The reporting party stated a male stole a cup and a flashlight.


 

Friday afternoon, Officers were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard, in reference to a theft report. The suspect was intercepted while trying to leave after concealing items. The suspect fled prior to law enforcement’s arrival. The suspect had been trespassed from all Wal Mart stores on a prior occasion. State charges of Burglary and Stealing are being submitted to the prosecutor.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Wal Mart store, 3201 West Broadway Boulevard on Friday afternoon in reference to a theft report. Contact was made with the suspect. Adrianna R. Martin, 27, of Pilot Grove, was arrested on a charge of Shoplifting. Martin was released from the scene with a court summons.


 

In in the very early morning hours on Saturday, Officers responded to the Bothwell Emergency Room, 601 East 14th Street in reference to a dog bite. Officers spoke with Sarah L. Little, and she stated she was bit by a stray dog in the 1200 block of South Quincy Avenue. A report was created.


 

Officers responded to the Arona Rental, 1200 South Limit Avenue, in reference to a theft report Friday evening. Officers spoke with the reporting party, who stated two male subjects entered the store an purchased several items. The reporting party thought this was unusual given the amount. Officers took the information and documented it in a report. No crime has been reported at this time.


 

On the morning of May 13th, a male came into the lobby of the Police Station to report a possible theft. Three lime green cases fell off the back of his work truck for Wisper Internet. Someone picked them up. The items have been listed as stolen.


 

Friday night, a truck was stopped near West 16th Street and South State Fair Boulevard. The driver had a Benton County Failure to Appear warrant. The citation was issued in September of 2023, alleging there were no license plates on his 2022 GM Canyon. The warrant was issued after he failed to appear in November of 2023. Dmitry Demyan, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested for his Failure to Appear warrant on charges of Failure to Display License Plates on a Motor Vehicle or Trailer. Bond was set at $200 cash only.


 

On the evening of May 9th, Officers were dispatched to the 1400 block of South Carr Avenue in reference to an abandoned bicycle. The bicycle was collected and bought to the Sedalia Police Department to be entered into evidence for safekeeping.
