Sedalia Man Injured When Dodge 2500 Rams Street Sweeper

A Sedalia man was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday morning in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a westbound Broce Broom Street Sweeper, driven by 32-year-old Garrett D. Shewmaker of Sedalia, was in a work zone on Griessen Road (east of Heard) around 7:45 a.m., when a westbound 1994 Dodge Ram 2500, driven by 66-year-old Timothy L. Summers of Sedalia, struck the rear of the street sweeper.

Shewmaker suffered minor injuries and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD for treatment.

The street sweeper had minor damage, and was driven from the scene, while the Dodge Ram had moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

Pettis County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
