The Acura had extensive damage and was towed by Don's Truck Towing.

According to Sedalia Police, an officer attempted to stop a silver Acura after it ran a stop sign at 13th and Ohio.

The vehicle accelerated and attempted to flee. While attempting to flee the area, the vehicle struck a tree near 17th and Osage and the car was disabled. The driver, 20-year-old Hawk Frederick R. Hagston of rural Cole Camp, was arrested. Drug paraphernalia was located in his pocket.

A computer check through Joint Communications revealed the suspect was wanted on an outstanding Pettis County warrant. Hagston was transported to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD for medical treatment.

A request for the charges of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, no proof of insurance and resisting arrest were submitted to the prosecutor.
