Warrensburg Police were dispatched for several calls of multiple shots fired throughout Warrensburg just after 11:00 PM CDT Sunday, March 17, 2024. While investigating the calls, a Warrensburg Police Officer conducted a traffic stop near Holden and Young, which ultimately led to a drunk driving arrest of one person and charges that include driving while intoxicated, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, unlawful possession of an illegal weapon and unlawful use of a weapon.

A short vehicle pursuit occurred during the traffic stop, after which the male subject exited his vehicle, refused to comply with officer commands to get on the ground, and began resisting arrest to the extent the officer deployed mace.

The subject then tossed something on the ground near the Burger King parking lot and ran north toward Sparks Street. The officer chased the subject north toward the apartments behind the Burger King and was brandishing a fully automatic pistol in his hand when caught by the officer.

Other officers and a sergeant arrived on the scene to assist the arresting officer. While making the arrest the individual was lying on his hands with the automatic pistol in one of them. The suspect finally gave up the gun after being ordered by the sergeant three times to let go of the gun. After letting go of the gun officers were able to take the individual into custody without further incident.

Officers found a 25-round extended magazine with 21 unspent full metal jacket 9mm rounds by the Burger King Parking Lot.

Police applied for an arrest warrant for the subject, identified as Amaudric L. Frazier, for the following charges: Driving While Intoxicated, Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Resisting Arrest for a Felony, Unlawful Possession of an illegal weapon, Unlawful use of a Weapon, and Armed Criminal Action through the Johnson County Missouri Prosecutre's Office.

Frazier provided a Mississippi address, where he has been previously arrested for possession of a stolen firearm. Frazier is being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond.
