St. Louis Suburb Ranked 7th Best Place to Live in Midwest
Most of the time when you hear something mentioned about the greater St. Louis area, the words "danger","crime" and "murder" are used in the same sentence. Perhaps those who love to share that narrative should include the phrase "best place to live" as a St. Louis suburb was just given a regional honor.
The website Homesnacks released a new list of the 10 best places to live in the Midwest a few days ago and a St. Louis suburb made their ranking.

Congrats to O'Fallon, Missouri ranked the 7th best place to live in the Midwest. The ranking mentioned that O'Fallon has the lowest property crime rate among all the cities that made the top 10. That's one of the prime reasons why it was given such a high best place to live status.
Why was O'Fallon named as a best place to live?
The methodology used in this new best places to live in the Midwest ranking based the results on "income, home values, jobs, poverty, education, health insurance, density, and crime". I've been saying for years that the St. Louis suburbs are highly underrated for the quality of life they offer. Not everyone can afford the housing prices in the better suburbs in the big city, but if you can, you'll likely enjoy your life. The problem areas in St. Louis are very concentrated with a vast majority of the area not nearly as problematic as some national outlets would have you believe.
