Although we're only in the first full week of September, Halloween will be here before you know it. You've seen all the candy out for quite awhile but, if you have bought your sweet supplies already, what's your favorite and have you opened up the bags for your own consumption?

We pretty much now that this year's trick or treaters will be out but just how will it all be handled by their parents? I can see a lot of tykes walking up the sidewalk with their Halloween costume consisting of a COVID-19 mask. As crazy as things are in 2020, I can see that being the cheapest Halloween costume since back in the day when we used to get an old sheet, cut two holes in it, drape it over our head, and go as a ghost!

According to a report from Bid-On-Equipment, There's 12 states that find Reese's Peanut Butter Cups as the favorite Halloween candy. Missouri is included in that list of the dozen states.

Second place goes to the hard-shell candies, M&M's. In eight states regular M&M's won. Pretzel M&M's wound up being the favorite in two states and believe it or not, Peanut Butter M&M's was the favorite in one state.

For the rest of the Halloween favorites, there was a surprisingly strong showing in five states for Milk Duds. Snickers also took the top spot in five other states.

So if you've either been wondering on what type of candy to buy for the trick-or-treaters this year, or if you've already went through your first round of candy and need to buy more, there's some ideas of what to purchase.
