I Didn’t Realize I Was Taking This Many Pills Daily
As I get older I notice that I'm taking more supplements on a daily basis. I've never been one to take prescriptions. I've had one or two prescribed by a doctor through the years but for the most part I'm not a big fan of them unless it's for something temporary.
I can go back to my younger days when my mom gave me a multivitamin. If my memory serves me right, it was either the Chocks or Flintstones brand.
These days it's a little different. First off, after taking my shower in the early morning to help wake me up, I take a baby aspirin. I've been doing that one for awhile. My doctor tells me it's probably a good idea since I've had a heart attack.
Before I head out the door, I take three other pills to help ramp up my system. Two pills that 's supposed to help with my memory, and my...uh, let me think...oh yeah, memory, energy, and clarity. The other one is supposed to help my fat burning process. (And heaven knows since the coronavirus has hit, I've got plenty to burn!)
At noon, my wife fixes me up with a vitamin D3, vitamin C, and a zinc pill. From what we've read it's supposed to help to keep the 'rona away and/or to help lessen the symptoms if you get it.
Finally at bedtime it's a magnesium, and two different sleep aids. (Going to bed at 8pm and waking up at 4am tends to make me want to take those last two pills.)
So there you have it. Adding them all up, the total comes to ten pills daily. What's your story?
