Highest-Rated Hiking Trail in Missouri Full of Sweet River Views
Everyone says they love hiking, but how many actually do it? If you're in the "do it" crowd in Missouri, I can show you the highest-rated hiking trail in the Show Me State. Spoiler Alert - it's full of sweet river views everywhere you look.
The go-to site for just about anything that has to do with hiking is All Trails. It's the most helpful resource I've found for the real story about where the best adventures are because the reviews come from real hikers and not those that just daydream about getting outside.
I did a search for the best hiking trail in Missouri on All Trails and one stands above the rest. It's the River Scene Trail Loop in Castlewood Park near Ballwin, Missouri. If you're thinking "wow, that sounds close to St. Louis", you'd be correct. It's about as close as you get to St. Louis without technically being in the city. The views along the River Scene Trail Loop are anything but city. It's river views everywhere.
One of the reasons why I believe River Scene Trail Loop is so popular is it's doable in just over an hour even though it's rated as a moderately challenging hike. It's also accessible year-round and you'll be hard-pressed to find a negative review of it on All Trails. It really does have it all when it comes to a decent hike and outstanding views without having to drive hours and hours to the Ozarks of southern Missouri.
