The Heard Memorial Club House Board is sponsoring the 3rd annual Homes Tour on Saturday, April 14 in Sedalia.

The Homes Tour will take place from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m.

The Heard Club House Board says that six homes will be featured during this year's tour. The proceeds will be used for capital improvements at the Heard House, located at 200 W. Broadway in Sedalia.

The homes included on the 2018 tour are:

- Judy & Dr. William Woolery home at 624 W. 7th Street

- Zarah Melville loft at 118 E. Main Street

Advance tickets are $20.00 and may be purchased until April 13 at the Katy Depot at 60 E. 3rd Street, Nostalgia, at 515 S. Ohio, and Moore's Flower Shop at 3311 Green Ridge Road.

On April 14, tickets are $25.00 and will only be available at any of the 6 homes featured on the tour, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

A press release from Heard Memorial Club House says that one loft features a Modern Industrial style in an 1873 building that used to house grocery stores. Another loft features lots of memorabilia and furnishings to honor past Sedalia people and businesses.

One historic home belonged to Charles Yeater and his wife. Charles was an American governor in the Philippines and his wife's estate made possible the first permanent building at SFCC.

One home was built in 2013 on a 6-generation farm that was established in 1857 by John J. Lamm. Another home was once part of a farm owned by Dr. Alvin Lowe and the backyard faces a lake.

One other home was recently built and may be hard to find by a GPS gadget, but many folks drive by it every day.
