Harry Potter is the best-selling book series in history with over 500 million copies sold worldwide. So don't make a mistake and think that Harry Potter is just for kids. That's nonsense. The wizarding world where Harry and his friends have adventures is just the perfect escape for many people of all ages, whether they get lost in the movies or the books. This February, that escape can go beyond the movies or books.

I'm talking about the Sorcerer's Speakeasy at KC Live. That's right, a Harry Potter-themed pop-up bar is coming to Kansas City's Power and Light District this month. The pop-up, Sorcerer's Speakeasy, will be open inside the Leinie Lodge at 13th and Walnut Streets in downtown Kansas City according to Fox 4 Kansas City.

According to the Power & Light District's website, "Sorcerer’s Speakeasy is the newest magical-themed pop-up bar, in Downtown Kansas City. Savor delightful concoctions like Butter Brew served in a collectible mug, glistening Unicorn Blood, and the Death Eater Negroni. Delight in gastronomic pleasures such as Dragon’s Tail Soup, Magic Snitch Snacks, and Forbidden Forest Broccoli and Cheese Soup."

Sorcerer's Speakeasy will be operating every weekend on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through February 25, opening at 5:00 PM CST. Reservations for the pop-up bar are being taken through Open Table. When I spent some time trying to find a time to book a table for two, it wasn't the easiest, so I'd expect tickets for this pop-up experience to go very quickly.

Additionally, on Sunday, February 4, and Sunday, February 18, wizards are encouraged to showcase their expertise.
