George Strait has added another live date to his schedule for 2019. The country icon is set to headline the 2019 Buckeye Country Superfest in Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday, June 8.

Strait announced the news via Twitter, revealing that tickets are set to go on sale on Friday (Dec. 7). Blake Shelton, Chris Janson, Midland and RaeLynn have also been announced as part of the lineup for the festival, which takes place at Ohio Stadium in Columbus.

According to the event's website, tickets to the 2019 Buckeye Country Superfest begin at $49.50 plus fees and range all the way up to $399.50 plus fees. Seats will go on sale at 10AM on Friday via Ticketmaster.com, by calling (800) 745-3000 or visiting the Schottenstein Center ticket office in person. There will be a ticket limit of 10 per purchase. There are also VIP packages that include matching VIP lanyards and passes, special commemorative merchandise, a separate VIP entrance, original artwork, party packages and more.

George Strait Has One of Country Music's Sexiest Voices

Strait retired from full-blown touring after wrapping his farewell The Cowboy Rides Away Tour in 2014, but he hasn't been sitting around the house in the years since. He's performed 18 Strait to Vegas shows at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas over the past several years, and he's extended that run into 2019 with two more shows scheduled for Feb. 1-2, with Ashley McBryde as his support act.

McBryde will also be on the bill when Strait hits the stage at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on March 30, 2019, along with Chris Stapleton and Chris Janson.

Strait and his Ace in the Hole Band will be performing the upcoming shows after the loss of their longtime drummer, Mike Kennedy, who was killed in a car accident in Tennessee in August.
