You know, it's a strange thing, but I've never sat down and thought about the idea of work.  I guess it was just always assumed that I'd get a job, since I'm not independently wealthy or something. It's almost something taken for granted.Well, the Friends of the Boonslick Regional Library definitely appreciate work and everything that comes with it.  The Celebration of Work is a community event coming up with the Friends next week.  It's free and open to the public. It'll be something that draws attention to the importance of work in  your individual life, for your family, and your town.  They'll have in different business leaders to speak, along with question and answer session.  I got to talk with Jackie Oliphant of the Boonslick Regional Library  and PC Thomas with the Friends of the Library about the event, and the good it could do for you and your community.

The speakers will include Don Weaver of Don's Truck Towing, Alex Kapitula of Capital Construction, Olga Kapitula of Real Estate Brokers of Missouri, Ben Embree of Embree Electric, David Goodson of Impact Sign and Lighting, Crystal Sims with Woods Supermarket, and Jose Ayala from Espolon Mexican Restaurants.   The event will be in the reading room of the Boonslick Regional Library, March 10 at 7:00 p.m. It's free and open to the public, so anyone and everyone can attend. And don't forget that the FOBL will have that silent auction coming up in April, and if you've got teen readers, get them signed up to go and meet some of their favorite young adult authors. If you need more information on the event, the Children's Literature Festival, the e-book collection, the or any of their other events by going to their website.  For more information, call 827-READ. You can also stop by the library at 219 W 3rd St. Write this one down, you won't wanna miss out!

Workingly yours,
Behka
