Former Employee of Sheriff’s Department Arrested on Forgery Charges
On Thursday (July 13), Pettis County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Benjamin E. Banner, on charges of forgery and receiving stolen property.
The investigation was conducted by the Detective’s Unit with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department, stemming from funds that were missing from the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office, as well as the forgery of documents. The dollar amount of the missing funds was not immediately available.
According to the report, Banner is a former employee of the Pettis County Sheriff’s Department.
Banner is being held in the Pettis County Jail, with a $23,000 bond.
