Fishing Out Cancer Hits Liberty Park on May 5
I admit, I haven’t been too outdoorsy in my time. But, I have gone fishing, and I’ve done catch and release at Liberty Park.
See? Pictorial evidence! Anyway, everyone loves a chance to get out and have a great time near some water, maybe with some kids, and if it’s for a good cause, all the better.
The Fishing Out Cancer event will be held on May 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Liberty Park. They’ll have a full day of fun and fishing, and all proceeds will go to the Pettis County Relay for Life. You can buy a lunch for $3 and get your choice of hamburger or hot dog, chips and a cookie or brownie with a drink, and all those proceeds will go straight to the team.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a pole or not enough poles for your group, they’ll have some there provided by the Conservation Department.
Fishingly yours,
Behka
