Sedalia Business Women of Missouri will host a local candidate forum Thursday, March 14 at 6:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 2nd and Osage.

The public is invited to hear from City Council members who are running for re-election, including Jack Robinson, Tina Boggess and Bob Hiller.

Mayor Pro Tem Rhiannon Foster is also running for re-election in the Fourth Ward, but is unable to attend the forum.

In addition, two new candidates who are running for one seat in District 3 for the Pettis County Ambulance District, Jim Sneed and Heath May, will be joining the forum.

There are also have two current Council members with differing views to speak on the ballot issue asking voters to approve a change in term length for Council members allowing them to be in office for four years rather than the current term of two years.

This local Candidate Forum has historically been hosted by the League of Women Voters, who have now passed the honor on to Sedalia Business Women.

All candidates will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the voters and will be asked several questions from the moderator.  If time allows, questions submitted from the public attending the forum will be asked of the candidates.
