Prayer Breakfast Scheduled for May 13

The Kiwanis Club of Sedalia will host their 17th annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast May 13 at 10 a.m., at the Celebration Center.

Sedalia Mayor Andrew Dawson and other community leaders will join Kiwanians, members of the Clergy and others to enjoy a meal and offer prayers.

Awards will be presented to youth who have been nominated by their churches for demonstrating outstanding leadership, Christian values and community service.

The Kiwanis Club will also present the William Schein Scholarship and a Kiawanis Scholarship to graduating seniors from area high school.

Guest speaker for the event will be Kayla Holland O-rell, a medical professional working in the field of behavior analysis, who practices for Center For Human Services.

The public is invited to attend.
