Paul Edwin Hammock was a Sergeant in the United States Air Force serving during the Viatnam era based at Fort Jackson, South Carolina from 1968-1972. Mr. Hammock passed away at the University of Missouri on April 11. This according to his obituary posted by Millard Family Chapels.

Parker-Millard Funeral Service and Crematory says no family for Mr. Hammock could be found. Therefore they have invited the public to join the community and other veterans to honor Mr. Hammock's service by attending his funeral tomorrow, May 20.

With many Memorial Day remembrances being cancelled this year, I think going to honor Mr. Hammock's service by attending his funeral is a great way to remember him and a great way to honor the men and women he served with, or that served before and after him, who never made it back home.

Mr. Hammock's service is at Parker-Millard Funeral Service and Crematory, 12 East Ash Street, Columbia, MO, 65203. The funeral is scheduled for 11:30AM CDT and will take place in front of the funeral chapel. The funeral chapel asks that attendees observe social distancing and safety procedures recommended by the CDC. A funeral procession to Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Jacksonville will follow.
